Selected Passages from Men Explaining Women

by Tiffany Harris

She breasted downstairs boobily,
her nipples anticipating breakfast.
Her breasts were like two anxious squirrels
fighting in a silk pillowcase.
She gazed pensively out the window,
her breasts also gazing pensively.
They were independent thinkers,
those breasts, with doctorate degrees
in gravitational physics.
Her tears fell like discount chandelier crystals
while her breasts sobbed sympathetically,
jiggling with feminine sadness.
She crossed the room athletically,
her breasts performing gymnastics
in defiance of several natural laws.
Her breasts were perky yet thoughtful,
like two philosophers trapped
in a Victoria's Secret catalog.
They had opinions about Proust.
